Concrete Elegance concrete has the lowest environmental footprint of any surface material available in Ontario. Before we add water and pigments, here is the composition of our concrete:

Our proprietary formulation contains up to 88% recycled and 88% local origin content.

Recycled materials usually force consumers to accept a compromise in performance for the sake of environmental responsibility. However, the ingredients we use make for a stronger, more durable concrete that can withstand greater stresses than similarly made concrete that contains ordinary portland cement and sand. It is less porous and more scratch resistant than our competitors' concrete, and can be made into more complex three-dimensional shapes.

Our process also has a very low environmental footprint.

• We cast on permanent table surfaces, saving dozens of sheets of melamine particleboard every year.
• We do minimal processing – the water used to polish a typical kitchen's worth of countertops would flush a water-efficient toilet 2 or 3 times.
• We mix only the amount required, and the few mistakes that we make are all taken to a recycling facility.
